Season 3 Episode 5
On this edition of Native Report we visit three places that are considered sacred by American Indian people. The Devil’s Tower or Bear’s Lodge is a National Monument which is managed for the first time by an American Indian park superintendent. In the heart of the black hills, Mt Rushmore National Memorial also has its first American Indian superintendent. And at the Pipestone National Monument, they are working to preserve and protect this holy place, while still making it accessible to those who quarry here. We’ll also hear from the elders and learn something new about Indian Country this week on Native Report.
