On this edition of Native Report we’ll focus on wild rice. This summer the restoration and preservation of wild rice beds took center stage at a conference that drew people from three states for a common cause. Activist Winona LaDuke talks about current political and environmental challenges with regard to wild rice. And the Bois Forte Ojibwe introduce us to their successful effort to reinvigorate natural stands of wild rice on Nett Lake. We’ll also visit with the elders and learn something new about Indian Country today on Native Report.
